We had to zip tie it to the top of the tree as the star is top heavy. It looks great and the projected image is sharp and bright. The cord is quite long and works well with our 7ft tree.

    So pretty! The cone stand accommodates several branches inside and allows the topper to sit low enough so as to be sturdy and not fall over. A couple times I had to move the tree and the topper never wavered. The topper ended up being about 3.5 to 4 ft from the ceiling, but would have been even nicer further away, as to spread out the projection more. Either way, very happy with my purchase. I bought the silver snowflake one, then realized the silver didn't really match my tree theme, so I also purchased the gold star. Not disappointed, I'm keeping them both.

    I purchased a gold star the same as this one last year and it worked well. I decided on a silver one this year. I have a 7 foot tree and so the star is only several inches from the ceiling which means the projection of snow flakes is minimal. Almost too close to the ceiling. The projection only shows on the ceiling in about a foot circle. The effect would be better on shorter trees. It does look nice though.
